Special Achievements

The Firm has many landmark reported judgments to its credit. The first case titled ‘Sushila Vs. Jai Kumar & Ors.’ before the Delhi High Court in the year 1998 wherein the sealing of Rs.500/-pm maintenance prescribed under Section 125 Cr.P.C. was challenged wherein the Central Government had to amend Section 125 of Cr.P.C. and the limit of Rs.500/- was done away. In the year 2010, a landmark case popularly known as FIR case was contested by the firm before Delhi High Court wherein many directions were issued including supply of copy of FIR to the accused person and to upload the same on website of Delhi Police within 24 hours. In the year 2012 the Firm constested the case titled Abrar Ali Vs. Union of India  & Ors. before the Hon’ble Supreme Court wherein Article 226 of the Constitution of India was interpreted which benefitted lacs of personnels of paramilitary forces throughout the country. The judgment of 5 judges Constitution Bench of Delhi High Court was over ruled.

In a historical case titled as “Navendra Kumar Vs. Union of India & Anr.” which was contested by the Firm before Gauhati High Court, the CBI was declared unconstitutional and it was ruled that CBI is not a police force and it cannot carry out any of the police functions including the registration of FIR, Arrest, Search, Seizure and Prosecution etc.

In the year 2015, the Firm contested a case before the Delhi High Court wherein many directions were issued with respect to the disclosure of income and liabilities by the parties before the court in all matrimonial disputs whether filed under Hindu Marriage Act, Domestic Violation Act, Special Marriage Act, or any other law in order to ensure that a woman gets fair maintenance and that too within a period of 60 days from lodging her claim.

The firm also represented before the Joint Parliamentary committee on Lokpal & Lokayukta Act, 2013.

Recently, the firm made presentation before the Committee of Rajya Sabha on the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Bill 2013, which was debated on 08.06.2016.

Awards and Honours

The Advocates of the Firm have been awarded by the Law Minster for their contributions to the society. Many NGOs have also awarded them on many occasions for their contribution. Many lectures have been delivered by the Advocates of the Firm. On many occasions, the Advocates of the Firm have been nominated as the Judges of the interstate moot courts. The advocate of the firm was also a part of Indian delegation to Germany on Judicial Reforms.
